As an educator in Baltimore City, he emphasizes enjoyable approaches to music education, rooted in collaboration and innovation, while his own music reflects a blend of influences and his unique artistic vision. Micah's commitment to music and education shines through his multi-instrumental talents, songwriting, and collaborations worldwide. Meet IconthaGod, a lyrical storyteller painting vivid experiences from inner-city life, exploring themes from trauma to guilty pleasures. With 13 years in music, he's shared stages with Method Man, Redman, and more. Currently promoting his latest project "Drunk Mind Sober Thoughts," IconthaGod's blend of vibes and aggressive lyrics promises an exciting musical journey. Meet Akilah Divine, a versatile artist from Baltimore, is a singer, spoken word artist, rapper, and actress with a master's degree in Social Work. Her hit single "TRIBE" earned four Best Music Video awards and was accepted in 14 film festivals. Akilah has graced prestigious stages, opening for Grammy-nominated singer Mumu Fresh, performing at notable events like "The Ladybug Festival," and winning the "HOT97 Who's Next" heat of the week competition. As a judge for various poetry competitions and currently serving as the Director of OST Programming at the Greenmount West Community Center, Akilah seamlessly merges her artistic prowess with community engagement, continuing to inspire through her writing, music, and dedication to the arts. Meet Joshua Lay, a proud Baltimore native and graduate of Baltimore City College High School. With a BS degree in Psychology from Morgan State University, he's traveled the world, sharing his musical talents alongside legends like Wynton Marsalis and Stevie Wonder. Joshua co-founded Left Brain Productions with his brother Justin "King Midas" Lay, crafting hits like the Grammy-nominated "I WIN" for Marvin Sapp. His authentic sound touches souls, evident in his latest R&B album "In So Many Words" and the recent release "Never Too Cool" featuring Pastor Jason Nelson. 🎤 Stay tuned for more captivating music from this Recording Academy member!

Meet Maya Elizabeth, a singer-songwriter and Recording Academy member, discovered the power of songwriting for self-expression at the young age of 6. Using music as a therapeutic tool to boost self-esteem and manage anxiety, Maya has cultivated her unique sound. With a background in business marketing and a creative spirit, she has successfully grown her independent music career to reach a global audience. In 2023, her fan-favorite "It's Ok To Be Falling" sparked the "From M.E. To You" mental-health concert series, earned her an interview/live performance on Living Local DMV. Maya, also a performer, worship leader, and mentor, leverages her platform to spread healing, truth, and love. Her inspirational-soul music particularly resonates with women aged 23-34, empowering them to heal their self-image and live a life they love. Whether experiencing a live performance or listening on favorite music platforms, Maya Elizabeth leaves audiences feeling seen, refreshed, and empowered.

Meet Eze Jackson, an Emcee, Host/Producer, and founder of EPIC FAM. With six independent releases and tours across the US, his forward-thinking lyrics and high energy captivate audiences. His most recent solo album, “Fool”, and his EP “Goals” have been well received in Baltimore & surrounding areas with critical acclaim from Media and fans. He has been the host of Lineup Room’s Bmore Beat Club, and a frequent collaborator with the Baltimore Boom-Bap Society. A key figure in Baltimore's music scene, Eze's commitment extends to community as he sits on the Mayor's Arts & Culture Advisory Committee.

Meet Wordsmith, a versatile artist hailing from Baltimore, MD, is a songwriter, poet, recording artist, actor, playwright, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. After earning a full athletic scholarship for football, he shifted his focus to entertainment, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts from Salisbury University. Founder of NU Revolution Entertainment in 2009, Wordsmith has garnered recognition, including a Grammy Voting Membership and winning Best Rap/Hip Album at the 16th Independent Music Awards. His music, featured on major networks and shows, has reached global stages through partnerships with the US Department of State, while his collaboration with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as an Artistic Partner marked a new chapter in 2018. Wordsmith's future endeavors include his nonprofit "Rise with a Purpose, Inc.," a TED Talk at John Hopkins University, and innovative collaborations in classical fusion and theater.

Meet Ashley Lakayla Yates, aka 'Black Assets,' a powerhouse soul, funk, indie, and rock songstress hailing from Mississippi and now making waves in Baltimore, MD. Her southern roots combined with her Baltimore Charm molded Black into a Powerhouse Soul, Funk, lndie, Rock Songstress. Black Assets is Soul Personified and a shining example of how eliminating self doubt can transform a once negative perception into positivity, she’s captivatingly passionate, and pure talent. With her recent single 'Being Black,' she showcases her captivating talent, from writing lyrics to producing and designing cover art. She is also the creator of The Living Room Social (TLRS), a platform for musicians and music-lovers in the Maryland area whose purpose is to make and experience music together in the name of love, peace and light. TLRS has gained success, hosting over 75 shows with a steady audience of over 200 people per show.
