Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students

I began laying the foundation for Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students in 2020. My graduate studies are in curriculum design and I'd always wanted to create materials of instruction for educators. After crowdfunding nearly $8,000, and approaching dozens of creatives to contribute to the project, I curated, edited, contributed to, and developed curriculum for the textbook. I self-published the textbook in 2022. At present, Conjuring Worlds is being used in several homeschooling collectives and private schools throughout the country.
