This is a commissioned work for a private garden in Baltimore, continuing with the theme of my sculpture series "Tale of Souls".

Found objects from the streets and alleyways of Hampden, forged together, painted and then set on fire! This particular sculpture was created while listening to Miles Davis's "Bitches Brew", hence the name. Or there was silence, which actually means the busy buzz of people/characters and traffic of Keswick road just outside of my window. Music and the sounds around me always dictate the direction of form.
Sexposé by Jess! Pfohl

Sexposé by Jess! Pfohl is a mixed media on mannequin display exploring sexual innuendo through suggestive art. Jess! started building the collection in 2012 in Baltimore, MD. The initial body of work was inspired by the standards of the Kinsey Scale. Upon further research Jess! started working fetish elements into her pieces. Each full-length mannequin is made from recycled pieces reconstructed by the artist and used as a base canvas. The artist completed 26 mannequins.
Small conceptual studies using perceptual phenomena (illusion, reflection, light) to imbue an esoteric/ mystical quality on objects. Like a fetish object.
