The Coloringhood Project 2024 by Colorollstories took place at the gallery of the 410 Loft Apartments, located at 410 Eutaw Street. This vibrant community initiative transformed the gallery into a hub of creativity and connection.

As part of the 1Book1Mural project, a large black-and-white mural was created on-site, designed to be colored by the community. The event invited residents and visitors to participate in a day of collaborative art, drawing inspiration from handmade Colorollstories scroll coloring books.

The Colorollstories Candombe mural was created in 2024 as part of the Jasper Beautification Project, where Colorollstories collaborated with the community to bring this cultural celebration to life.

This mural is a vibrant representation of Afro-Uruguayan culture, inspired by the traditional music and dance of Candombe. It captures the rhythm, energy, and communal spirit of this tradition, which originated from enslaved African people in Uruguay and has become a vital part of the country’s cultural heritage.

  • Book description: We are obsessed with wrestlers. We drew them in cold damp caves thousands of years ago and today we color them into the pages of a coloring book. Though Ben McNutt’s photographs turned line-drawings of wrestlers are light-hearted, unusual, and at-times comical they serve as an introduction into his world of wrestlers

These images are made by cutting shapes away from existing coloring book images and then layering the images on top one another allowing me to create new images using the negative spaces.
