This is a humorous painting showing the Frankenstein Monster and his bride, as they are enjoying a romantic hike in Rocks State Park. This is an actual depiction of the path up to The King and Queens Seats, a notable rock formation in Harford County Maryland. Note the faces of other famous movie monsters - Wolfman, Dracula and The Creature From The Black Lagoon - in the trees, and bushes of the forest.

The title of this painting pretty much describes it..."The Creature From The Black Lagoon Watches Vikings Launch at the Lapidum Boat Ramp on the Susquehanna".

I was asked about what were those things flying in the sky? My answer...Squid. This is an 11" x 14" acrylics on canvas board.

This is a 16" x 20" acrylics on stretched canvas, inspired by Mummy movies and The Bangles song that was a hit in the 1980's. This painting was juried into the 8th Annual Exhibition held by the Oxford Art Alliance in October of 2022.

This painting is a nod to a renouned painting by Edouard Manet titled "A Bar at the Folies-Bergere", painted in 1882. To find the humor in my painting, first- you'll need to be up-to-date with your vampire lore, and secondly - you'll need to compare the two paintings pretty closely. (Hint: Dierdre is wearing the green dress - and a surprised expression.)

This painting shows the moment that a horse and it's owner were reunited after a prolonged separtion, which nearly killed them both.

This is a painting of my friend's wife, enjoying some hammock time. It's an 11" x 14" acrylics on canvas board. Technically, it is a mixed media, since I used a white charcoal pencil for the ropes.

This was a commissioned portrait painted on a 16" x 20" wood panel. It was actually two seperate portraits - the first was of my customer's dear friend, and the other was specifically of his brown 2017 Mercedes Benz Cabriolet Coup. I had to do some research in order to find a good angle for the car to capture the lines accurately. The reflections, are from my own mind.

My friend Rodney commisioned me to produce this 30" x 40" painting, titled "Anniversary Celebration."

This is the first self-portrait I've ever done. I'll turn it into an annual practice. It's an 11" x 14".

I created this painting during the Harford Plein Air Nocturne paint-out held in September of 2022.

My goal with this painting was to capture that magical pre-dawn light that we oudoor enthusiasts so love. There is a point EVERY morning, at which you can clearly see things, but there isn't enough light to actually see colors. Everything appears as shades of gray. As an outdoorsman, I've witnessed that light many times. This past Spring, after a beautiful morning spent turkey hunting, I resolved to render the experience on canvas. So, I painted this from my memory of the scene, on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas.

I created this during the Harford Plein Air open paint-out competition held in September of 2022, earning an "Honorable Mention". I didn't realize it at the time, but the building functions as a Harford Co. Gov't office building, affectionately known as "The Black Box."

This was painted on location at the Annapolis waterfront in June 0f 2022. I happened to be in Annapolis that day, because I had some portrait paintings exhibited by the MD Portrait Painters Assoc at the gallery in Quiet Waters Park wich is nearby.

The Liriodendron is a popular art showcase and events venue located in Bel Air, MD.

Although I missed the official entry for the 2022 Harford Plein Air competition, I still took part in their open paint-outs...one of which was held at The Liriodendron.

The Lock House Museum in Havre de Grace, MD, hosted a plein air competition for a spot on their 2023 fund raising calender. My submission was selected for the month of June, and the painting was then purchased during the Lock House Museum's Annual Christmas Boutique.

This is a plein air painting that I created while visiting Sandy Point State Park, near Annapolis, MD. There is a beautiful beach, with an impressive view of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Hanging Out at the Fire Pit is an 11" x 14" nocturne painted in-studio.

This was an exercise in aerial and linear perspective of a setting on the north-side of Bel Air, MD.

These fellows were using metal detectors to search for artifacts in a Harford Co. field.

I used a pallet knife to depict this scene near the Mason-Dixon Line. It's on a 10" x 20" stretched canvas.

During a scouting trip for turkeys in Western MD, I came upon an old abandoned car. I can guarantee that turkeys like to hang out there. This was on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas.

This depicts an early morning in Green Ridge State Forest (Allegany Co, MD) as a friend and I were about to start a hunt for ruffed grouse, an upland gamebird. It's on a 16" x 20" stretched canvas.

It was way too cold and windy to try a plein air painting on this day in Harford Co, MD. I created this in the warmth of my studio.
