    “If We Touch” explores the fragile yet transformative moment of softness that emerges after being steeped in the weight of fragile masculinity. The work traces the tension between restraint and release, navigating how touch is guarded, withheld, or distorted under the pressures of fragile masculinity.

    A visual journey through memory’s grip. Looping gestures, dissolving images, and a body caught between past and present. This film explores how memory shapes and traps us, inviting viewers to experience the beauty and tension of returning again and again to what we cannot let go.

    "Parts" was a commission work that was performed at HCC Student and Staff showcase. This piece was inspired by my dance film "Perceived". Playing with the ideas of gender fluidity and the containment of self expression.

About Levi

Baltimore City  

Levi Coy (they/he) is a queer artist originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, working across choreography, direction, performance, filmmaking, and education. A 2019 graduate of Ball State University with a BFA in Dance, Levi currently serves as adjunct faculty for the Howard Community College Dance Program.

Seeking new creative horizons, Levi relocated to Baltimore, where they have made a notable impact on the local dance scene. Their work has been featured in performances with Kinetics… more
