About V
I was born in 1973 in San Francisco to hippie street artists. My mother, Lois Kuck (1947-2012), was lucky to have been a mid-century graduate of Cooper Union, and she taught me art history and principles from a young age.
WORK IN PROGRESS FOR 2026
ART SAVED ME IN 2025
In a year with no job, no health insurance, and a rising fascist state, how did I hold my threads together? I ARTED IT OUT. ART IS REAL. ART IS AIR.
My anxiety got the best of me in 2025, however, it pushed me to create in many new ways. I wrote a short play in 3 days, then performed it with friends at the No Kings protest in Patterson Park. I also created 15 yard signs using Sly and the Family Slone and John Lewis quotes then dispersed them along roads of North Baltimore. Many remained for months (one is still untouched as of 01/26!), and I photographed them as they weathered to include in other art pieces. I experimented with many new materials that are in abundance, primarily "CASH FOR CARS" coroplast signs. Coroplast works much better than cardboard, it is no cost to me, and removing them from the landscape is a much appreciated service.

Fifty Fezzik Project
Grief works itself out in many ways. When I lost a very special cat after a short time together, it triggered unresolved grief from my mother's death. I was inspired to paint 50 paintings of the same picture of my cat in 50 different ways. Each painting was inspired by either experiments in paint or the news of the day. It was winter/spring 2016-2017 ... I didn't realize it then, but this was the first of many projects used to comment on the state of the United States through my brain filter.
