Anne's profile
Alongside her career in brand design, Anne Adams-Kennedy maintains a fine art practice rooted in drawing and hand-built imagery. Working in graphite, drawing ink, colored pencil, and watercolor, she builds each piece from photo collage sources she constructs herself, layering found and photographed imagery into a single reference. The subject at the center of that practice is Victorian art and architecture, its ornament and shadow filtered through a lifelong love of Pre-Raphaelite painting. Her work was most recently featured in the People's Gallery at the Delaware Art Museum.
Anne is a Baltimore-based creative director and graphic designer with more than three decades of experience building brands from the page to the retail floor. She currently serves as Retail Graphic Director at a major bedding retail company, where she shapes the visual language of the brand across e-commerce, packaging, and point-of-purchase environments. Her work sits at the intersection of design and commerce, translating brand strategy into imagery that performs on shelves, screens, and storefronts alike.
Earlier roles include fashion catalog and photo shoot production, freelance design work through her own studio, and over a decade at a newspaper company in both design and marketing. Across every chapter, her throughline has been clear, brand-appropriate visual storytelling built through close collaboration. She holds a BFA in General Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Anne chairs the Union Square Cookie Tour of Historic Homes, a community event celebrating the historic architecture of her Southwest Baltimore neighborhood. She also volunteers and manages social media for the Union Square Soirée, a group redefining Baltimore's arts scene through intimate salon concerts that bring performers and audiences close together in a charming Union Square rowhome — a space that doubles as gallery and performance venue, where music, conversation, and community naturally meet.
