Chris Ernst is a Baltimore-based experimental filmmaker and musician. His award-winning films, including the cult features Corpse (2018) and The Hill and the Hole (2020) have been exhibited internationally at numerous festivals and venues and he is the recipient of several awards and grants including a NY State Council on the Arts Independent Artists Grant. Chris is also an accomplished cinematographer, having worked on films such as the Tribeca Film Festival selection Buried Land (2010), and the hybrid docu-drama Audition (2015). For many years Chris worked as a producer/director at MTV Networks in NY, and now works as a Professor in the Department of Film & Moving Image at Stevenson University in Maryland and as director of his own studio, Fana Films.
