Claire's profile

I am a Baltimore-based multimedia artist, designer, producer, and improviser working primarily within the realms of digital image and sound. My work traces the lines between our digital and physical realities, frequently bringing in interactivity and video game-inspired elements to encourage curiosity, play, and a deeper connection with the world around us. Though not all of my projects deal with the environment, spreading hope and encouraging action towards climate resilient futures is central to my mission as an artist. I harness my backgrounds in informal science education and environmental communication to intertwine this mission into my creative work.

As an improviser, I have most recently performed as part of the Peabody Improvisers Collective led by Kieun Song and Max Gong. My video "Toilet Arcade" premiered at the New Works Video Art and Film screening in Baltimore in 2025, and I contributed sound and projection design to Thann Tolley's "Reactor", a play presented at Charm City Fringe Fest in 2026. I completed the Nomadic Soundsters artist residency in the 2023-24 cohort, working collaboratively with Graham Keeton and Addison Bird. I hold BA and BM degrees from Oberlin College and Conservatory, and am currently pursuing an MFA in Intermedia and Digital Arts at UMBC.
