Bernard B. Johnson is a director and designer born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He began his career in theatre at the Baltimore School for the Arts, and later furthered his studies at The City College of New York. He has worked off-broadway as an assistant director and as a designer with such companies as Harlem Repertory Theatre, Dimo Kim Musical Factory, Basement Theatricals, and Theater for the New city.

He made a return to Baltimore during the COVID 19 pandemic and began working as a Production Manager for Single Carrot Theatre. There he over saw the technical aspects of several productions, as well as designed and directed two projects for the company. He later joined companies such as Fells Point Corner Theater and the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, where he has worked as a designer and director.

Bernard has stepped into a new chapter as a director and has a dream to build a new semi professional theatre company here in the city. A company that provides yet another a place for the working actors and creatives of Baltimore to receive work and continue to do their passions. This new chapter is yet another step toward his goal of becoming an Artistic Director.
