STELLI's profile
Stelli Munnis is a self-taught artist who uses the creative process as a doorway to understanding herself and the world. Everything that she creates, whether it be a drawing, a painting, a poem, or a zine, she does so with a desire to explore the deeper aspects of what it means to be a human being.
Much of Stelli’s work is autobiographical, reflecting her Nicaraguan/Greek/Scottish heritage and unique upbringing. Common themes in her art include identity, culture, dreams, archetypes, family, sexuality, healing, and our relationship with the Divine.
Stelli has lived all over, including Managua (Nicaragua), College Station (TX), Austin (TX), Baton Rouge (LA), New Orleans (LA), Gainesville (FL), Richmond (England), State College (PA), and the San Francisco Bay Area (CA). She now lives in Baltimore City with her husband, Jeff, who is also an artist, and their two adorable whippet pups, Brady and Appa.
