JoAnn has been creating art since she was a small child. After moving to Maryland, JoAnn attended the Maryland Institute College of Art (aka MICA) where she received a BA in Illustration followed by a Master of Arts from the University of Baltimore in Communication Design. After working for many years creating art, graphics, and animations for the Intelligence Community she is now pursuing a lifelong dream of creating fine art paintings full time. Working in oil, acrylic, and found materials, JoAnn works in her studio in Columbia, MD. JoAnn regularly attends workshops including those by Kyle Buckland, Mark Bodges, Walter Bartman, Samuel Morgan Price and others.
