Joined the merchant marines. Influenced by Jack Kerouac.

Graduated from University of Michigan.

Worked a dizzying number of jobs. Found stability as a waiter.

Wrote stories and novels.

Got a real job as a teacher in Baltimore City. Stayed for 10 years.

Taught Baltimore County at an alternative high school for at-risk students for fourteen years.

Earned two masters degrees.

Achieved National Board Certification as an English teacher.

Published short stories in e-zines and literary magazines.

Published two novels: Rat & The Return of Jason Foxx.

Won writing awards from Maryland Writers' Association.

Won fiction awards from Maryland State Arts Council.
