Baker Artist Portfolios

I have been exhibiting my arts in juried and non-juried shows within the greater Baltimore area since 2019.   I have been trained for watercolor, drawing, and mixed media study under the guidance of Diana Marta, a resident artist at the Howard County Arts Center.   My current focus is primarily on compositions featuring figures and faces.  I have been traveling between expressive figuration and abstraction, and exploring interplay of forms, colors, textures and other elements in the image to convey energy of the subjects.  Recent works aspires to demonstrate energy, tension and vibration through overlapping and interlocking elements within compressed compositions.  My Japanese heritage strongly influenced my artistic style.
