pamela's profile
With painting, I let my life experiences lead the way.
Early on in my life the eco-spirituality movement caught my attention and since then has inspired and guided my work as a painter. As a result, the core of my work has been the inseparable deep connection to nature, human nature and spirituality. Poetry, my love of books and many travel experiences have also informed and woven their way into my paintings.
In the late 70's I quit my job working in an art gallery and fulfilled the dream of becoming a full time artist, it was an exciting and challenging time until I serendipitously fell into becoming a Massage/Cranio-Sacral therapist after returning from a trip to Venezuela for the opening of a traveling exhibition I was in. Both were transforming experiences on many levels and a connecting thread to what I had been doing in the studio.
My work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions here on the East Coast as well as in Nepal, Venezuela, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. My paintings are also in numerous private and public collections including the International Headquarters of the Lockheed Martin Corporation, The Health Insurance Association of America, the Inter-American Developement Bank, the Distinguished Maryland Artists Collection of the Universtity of Maryland and the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts.
