Jessica writes short- and long-form fiction, scripts, and haikus. Her fiction has appeared in Bartleby, Drunk Monkeys, Enizagam, Sad Girl Diaries, and Atlas & Alice, and she won her alma mater's Malcolm C. Braly Fiction Award. Her feature-length screenplays Omissions and Head Block have been recognized/selected by several film & screenplay festivals. She earned a BA in Literature and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from UMBC. She has taught English in Baltimore as a high school teacher, in Thailand as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, and in Japan as a Global Teaching Fellow.
