Wallpaper Panels Installed in ShowroomFurnished Room Wallpaper, 7 sections, 102â? x 35â? ea This series of six 8 by 3 foot printed panels are a study in integrating previously produced object drawings with surface drawings. In this case the 7-Eleven wall section has been tiled to create what may be a brick wall in a den. Three of the interior object drawings have been placed on this surface to produce a semblance of a furnished room. -

7-11 Wall Section Poster Installed7-Eleven Wall Section Poster, 36" x 48" This authentic scale reproduction of a 3 by 4 foot section of a brick wall from a 7-Eleven Store in Baltimore County will hopefully give its owner a warm feeling and a memory of a good moment. Maybe it was that pack of cigarettes that got you though a tough time, or that Slurpee that cooled you on a hot day, or maybe itâ??s that 16 ounce cup of Mountain Blend that gives you the strength to walk into work each morning. This poster is a blowup of a hand drawn scale rendering printed on an OCE 300 industrial photocopier on a single sheet of paper and folded for easy storage and transport. -
Cinder Block Wall PosterCinder Block Wall Section Poster, 48" x 66" This poster enables the purchaser to alter his or her living space so that it can feel like a basement, institutional stairwell, Laundromat, prison cell, back of shopping center, or other cinder block related space. This poster is a Xerox blowup of a hand drawn scale rendering of a section of block wall. It is constructed of 20 hand trimmed Xerox panels that have been taped together and folded into an easily transportable package. We feel that the impact this poster will have on your living space will more than warrant the price tag. -

Life-Sized Prints
Folding, portable prints are scaled to the actual dimensions of the object depicted. The prints are taken from 8.5 x 11 inch drawings of the objects that are then scanned at 1,200 dpi and enlarged to 200 dpi TIFF/BITMAPs. Panels are printed in sections no larger than 36 x 200 inches that are trimmed and taped together to make the final print.

UNTITLED 8, 2013"14 untitled photos mounted as a set on one wall. They’re deceptively revealing. They show a nude woman (presumably the artist, though her face is never clearly visible) in what appears to be a swimming pool, but there’s nothing about the imagery that feels like a playful summer frolic. In one, the woman floats face down, a life jacket nearby. In another she’s face up, the preserver held in a hand. In another she’s submerged, swimming through the water. In yet another she’s coming up for air, her head breaking through the surface. In many, she’s maybe submerged, maybe swimming, maybe sunk, maybe trying to come toward the surface. The photos are arranged in two rows of seven, but there’s nothing serial about the sequencing. They don’t seem to tell a story, or if they do, the arrangement is presented with such discord that the implied story is something more turbulent, perhaps frames from a short film about almost drowning, presented out of order. Slowly, you notice that, though it’s clear the photos were taken at a pool, they’re composed in such a way that the water swallows the frame: There is no visible avenue of escape. These are images of a human lost at sea with no safe harbor in sight." Bret McCabe Photographed by: Jes Contro

Model Home, Artscape 2003Model Home was an exhibition I curated for Artscape 2003. It was a 2,000 square foot structure with 13 installations and arrange them like a home, ie front porch, living room, bedrooms, etc. This was at a time when it seemed that a lot of artists were making work that played off of memories of domestic times such as childhood and decorative design issues among other things. Building was designed by Craig Carbrey, Wayne Norbeck, John Shorb, and Glenn Shrum. The front porch (left) was a sculpture by Tabatha Tucker. -
Model Home, Rooms and Cooling SystemTop image is room by Brian Randolph, lower left is by Dearraindrop, and cooling system is by David Gissen and Michael Rakowitz. -
