My earliest writing gig was a summer camp talent show. I completed my first novella, The Wolfman, in the fourth grade. Since then I have written three freight carfuls of advertising copy including 3,694 television scripts, 2,314 radio skits, 4 bumper stickers and 107 “buy one get one free” coupons. I won a bunch of silly awards, including the ones from France. I have paid penance for these crimes with two completed novels and a satchel full of short stories and personal essays about my life… more

Popeye Town (working title)

I moved to Fells Point in 1992. It still had vestiges of a working seaport. Tugboats, seamen's hotel, old bars with Saturday afternoon polka parties.  When my mother-in-law came to visit, she said "It's Popeye town." I'm working on a collection of personal essays about my most beloved Popeye Town characters.
