The screenplay begins with a harrowing dream sequence in the remote village of Mito, where two young Peruvian journalists, Eduardo and Laura, are hiding in a bell tower to escape advancing Shining Path militants. Armed only with a camera and their courage, they vow to document the truth behind a rumored massacre.

  • Desaparecidos

    This music video, based on the song Desaparecidos by Ruben Blades, is the inspiration behind the fictional film project Curfew. I made this video in the midst of the internal war between the Peruvian state and the brutal terrorist organization Sendero Luminoso in the late 1980s.
