Rodolfo Pereira is a Peruvian-American filmmaker, writer, and cultural advocate based in Baltimore. With over two decades of experience in the film and television industry, Pereira has directed four documentaries and two award-winning short fiction films, and co-directed more than 100 episodes of the popular Peruvian television dramas Gamboa and Malahierba. His work is known for its focus on political conflict, historical memory, and human rights, often weaving together journalistic realism with poetic visual storytelling.

A former journalist and press attaché, Pereira brings a unique cross-disciplinary perspective to his filmmaking, drawing from his extensive background in diplomacy, media, and Latin American cultural affairs. His feature screenplay, Curfew, has won major international accolades, including top prizes at the Cannes Script Festival, New York Script Awards, and Toronto Independent Film Festival.

Through his Baltimore-based company, October Films LLC, Pereira is committed to creating socially engaged, internationally resonant cinema while building meaningful opportunities for underrepresented voices in the arts.
