About Anne

Anne Meadows is a Maryland artist currently working in encaustic painting. She is formally trained in a variety of art disciplines including painting, printmaking, ceramics, and photography. She started her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and after moving to Maryland continued taking art classes at Towson University and MICA.   • This Is Where It All Began
    This Is Where It All Began

    Highly textured (accretion) encaustic painting depicting either an ocean or an early watery earth. While accretion means the building up of wax using heated wax it also refers to gravitational forces, water, or wind movements deposition sediment increasing landmass.
