DISASSOCIATIONS (2025-ongoing)

Among fragmented imagery within mixed media-layered paintings and sculptures, a paradox of escapism and confrontation runs through my work.  Interactions of various materials such as remnants of old paintings, found objects, 3D printed doodles, found objects and handmade photographs form collage-like compositions within unexpected juxtapositions.  Within these distorted figurations, I create visually overwhelming spaces inspired by the psychological residue of burnout—how women, often overburdened with emotional and invisible labor, find that even rare moments of stillness are clouded by a flood of anxious thought.  By engaging with materials and processes in an intuitive yet deliberate way, I aim to unearth fleeting moments of liminality and intensity—the tension of being on the edge of breakdown, the weight of past experiences pressing against the present, and the inner dialogue visualized.

UNEARTHING WHILE SPACED OUT (2025-ongoing)

Photographed on medium format film, these images serve as windows into our intricate relationships with ourselves, portraying intimate moments suspended in time and ordinary spaces of comfort that embrace our being.  This work delves into the enigma of presence, challenging the notion that we experience time as a linear progression.  Meditative glimpses of spaces, found objects in nature and people remind us that within the tapestry of our existence, we can pause to quiet our minds or allow ourselves to get lost in unearthing our subconscious while spaced out.

LOST SENSATIONS (2022-23)

Alternating between subconscious illusions and depictions of reality, these mixed media paintings re-imagine ordinary moments of being in space and time.  Relationships with oneself, perceptions of time, desire, and memory are interspersed among narrative abstractions and portraits.   Layers of marks, color and objects become maps of personal history as well as a chaotic sanctuary of sensations within and around a figure.  Nostalgic flashbacks through photographic collage and disruptive juxtapositions of media in space explore paradoxical feelings of discontentment, elation and escapism.

OUT OF TIME (2022-23)

Out of Time is a lyrical series of photographs on medium format film that reflect on relationships with oneself, personal moments of being in time, and spaces of comfort. Inspired by our often fragmented perceptions of time and memory, this project investigates how we can be present in a moment in time and simultaneously experience other sensations such as a personal flashback, waves of nostalgia from triggering sensations, and moments that might cause one to lose a grip on time. These portraits and meditative photographs of spaces in this body of work mounted on torn charcoal drawings reflect the tension, fragility and brokenness surrounding womanhood and mortality.
