  • Better Days feat. Black Assets

    Better Days is an unreleased composition by Camille "C.Jai" Scott, that captures the complex emotional landscape of progress and struggle in the fight for social justice. Premiered live at Creative Alliance in Baltimore on February 7th, 2025, with her good friend and long term collaborator Black Assets, the piece reflects the ambivalence felt as we acknowledge the victories of the civil rights movement while recognizing the work that remains. Through its intricate melodies and dynamic rhythms, "Better Days" evokes both the hope for a brighter future and the deep resolve needed to continue the journey toward equality.

  • Sunset

    Sunset reflects C.Jai’s evolution. It is a meditation on growth, self-love, and the journey toward authentic connection. This song is for those learning to turn inward, to see that the love we seek often begins within. During her high school years, she realized that she was falling into unhealthy and unproductive patterns, doomscrolling on social media and indulging in liabilities via shallow relationships and consumerism. She wrote Sunset as a way to illuminate these issues and address them head-on. Through her introspective storytelling and dynamic musicianship, C.Jai invites listeners to embrace their own transformation and find harmony between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming.

  • Paradigm Shift feat. Lixxtheprophet

    Paradigm Shift was created to encourage our youth of color to optimize our potential and to acknowledge the uniqueness in our paths with due respect. It is a song created with the intention of inspiring, empowering and emboldening myself and other youth within my community here in Baltimore City to never succumb to adversities we face everyday in society. The project was released Juneteenth 2023, which served as the perfect day to highlight Black excellence while also paying homage to those who have paved the way for us to achieve our dreams freely.

Camille "C.Jai" Scott is a multi-instrumentalist performer, recording artist and composer based in Baltimore, MD. At age 14 she taught herself how to record and produce music on her iPod and her love for musical production and writing was further developed in her home studio and her attendance as a percussion major at Baltimore School for the Arts.
