This painting is no exception, as the "cloud" exist as a brain, bubblegum, or gelatinous mass. The wilderness in this work operates to both create formal distance and as shorthand for other painting tropes, surrealist and otherwise.

Hi, I'm Grant Marshall. I am an artist, educator, and a designer. I live in Baltimore and I teach at McDaniel college in Westminster, MD. I have been an artist all of my life, even if I didn't know it. I am a painter and a ceramicist with an interest in the textural quality of artwork.
