About Esterline
Esterline Vielot (ester-leen vee-eh-lo) is a Haitian-born writer. She has written multiple forms of stories from short stories to feature film scripts. In 2016, she self-published her first book via Amazon called, "Who Told You That?" and in 2025, she published her second book, "Coconut Paradise: A Family Heirloom and a Very Haitian Homecoming."

Coconut Paradise Series
Cassandra, a Haitian-American influencer, journeys to her ancestral land of Haiti after the death of her maternal grandmother to rescue her family’s crumbling hotel and repair its infamous Vodou reputation. Along the way, she uncovers buried family secrets, reconnects with her roots, and discovers that fixing a legacy might be messier—and more magical—than she ever imagined.

Co-wrote, co-produce local play
Diamond, a troubled teenager struggling since her parents’ divorce, faces suspension after misbehaving in school. Given a choice between spending the weekend with her strict military mother and her mother’s new boyfriend or joining her eccentric grandmother Ruby on a road trip to a church revival, she reluctantly chooses the latter.
What begins as an unwanted journey becomes a transformative adventure. Through comedic mishaps and heartfelt moments, Diamond and Ruby bond, confronting past wounds and uncovering life lessons. When Diamond recklessly takes her grandmother's car to meet an older boyfriend, Ruby intervenes with a powerful lesson on respect, choices, and self-worth.
By the end of their journey, Diamond learns the true meaning behind her name and discovers the resilient, extraordinary woman her grandmother truly is.

Birthday Wish
Current short story.
Elise is the runner at her mother Claudette's hair salon. She does admin, hosts, cleans, sweeps, and does other odd jobs at the salon. Today is her birthday, but no one seems to remember. She feels invisible like any other day, but only when she sings do people notice her. When Solange, her mother's frequent client, walks in, Elise wishes she had her life. She wants her beauty, her riches, and her confidence.
A spirit by the name of Gerard grants Elise her birthday wish. Her life as Solange is going well until everything takes a dark turn. Elise tries to find her way back to her old life before time runs out and she loses her original life for good.
