    BLOSSOMING

In this evocative piece, I juxtapose a beautiful Black woman with a vibrant flower, merging my deep appreciation for Black beauty with my agricultural background. The portrait captures the woman's essence in a uniquely simple yet powerful way, celebrating the natural radiance and depth that have always captivated me. The flower represents life's journey—from bud to bloom—mirroring human development while symbolizing grace, resilience, and transformation. I chose to create this project because I am on a journey of healing my inner child, connecting the elements of my past and present through art

  • Blissful.
    Blissful.

Blissful is my first passion project after a year-long creative pause and the setback of my camera breaking. The work was inspired by a mural I encountered in Sandtown, Baltimore—a majestic, almost mythic image of a woman bearing fruit, with her son behind her and long, flowing hair. That visual stayed with me and became the conceptual foundation for this series.

Rather than recreating the mural directly, I translated it into an editorial interpretation. I leaned into bold, pop-forward color, intentionally pairing blue and orange to explore contrast and harmony through color theory. The wardrobe—a spring/summer dress referencing the ocean and beach—helped reinforce a sense of warmth, movement, and seasonal renewal.

At its core, Blissful is about softness, motherhood, and whimsy. I created this work simply because I love making art that lingers—images that sit with me emotionally while highlighting Black subjects with tenderness, imagination, and quiet strength.

  • Rustic Charm
    Rustic Charm

Rustic Charm is a study in presence, light, and Black beauty. The project began without a fixed narrative or commercial goal—only a clear intention to celebrate Black essence and elegance through form, color, and environment.

I styled two models in voluminous, statement dresses to emphasize movement and silhouette, then placed them in open, golden sunlight to let warmth and natural glow shape the images. A fine-art backdrop was introduced to anchor the composition, adding visual weight and contrast while drawing attention to skin tone, fabric color, and texture.

The result is a series that is less about concept and more about feeling—an exploration of ambiance, stillness, and the quiet power of Black beauty rendered in light.
