Through the years I have discovered that I am moved by the complexities of landscape and by the emotional impact of place. It seems that the contradiction of order/disorder, form and poetry that I find in natural and man-made landscapes has compelled me to paint places not only for their natural qualities but for the richness and formal qualities that make places unique.
