Silver ButtonsThis piece was an exploration of realism and abstraction while also facing one self as an artist. Like many artists, I also struggle with the intentions of a piece and contemplate the purpose of it. Sometimes the purpose can be very complex and introspective, or as simple as just wanting to paint two silver buttons.

Marisa Sheena Evangelista (b. 1998) was born in Thailand, but for most of her life, she grew up in Maryland, USA. Since she was young, she’d been interested in the nuances of human emotion.
