About currie

Baltimore City  

Currie Lee is a photographer based in Baltimore City, MD. She was born in Baltimore but grew up in South West Florida before moving back to Baltimore in her teens. Inspired by her surroundings, she’s drawn from the lush romance of Baltimore and the bleak, bright atmosphere of Florida in her work.

In 2013, she graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Film & Video Arts. Since graduating, she has established herself as a fashion and portrait photographer.

Self-Portraits

Currie Lee is a photographer based in Baltimore, MD. In her ongoing self-portrait series, Lee uses light, environment, wardrobe, and posing to embody her current state of being. Over the years, the project has developed into a means of documenting the progression of her disability and her resulting depression. Each self-portrait captures an element of the nuances of life with a disability.
