Tapestry from an asteroid.
This piece is an experiment in blurring the lines between sculpture, tapestry and basketry.
It is made from recycled fabrics, shoelaces, felt, nautical rope, and sewing thread.
It is reversible, and can be molded and manipulated into a wide variety of shape-forms.

ROPE RIFF
Made with Rope, embroidery floss, and yarn this piece was close to fifty feet in length when photographed here. I wanted to make a soft sculptural piece that could be displayed any number of ways. It can be hung in a single waterfall like cascade, strung across a ceiling like pennant flags, piled into a heap, or work as a one of a kind article of clothing.

Repurposed drawings
I started the year by sorting through all of the drawings that I wasn't satisfied with from the previous year, cutting them up, salvaging them for parts, and creating new compositions on 9"x12" black paper.
