I have exhibited in juried and non-juried exhibitions throughout the greater Baltimore area since 2019. I studied watercolor, drawing, and mixed media under Diana Marta, resident artist at the Howard County Arts Center.
My work moves between expressive figuration and abstraction, exploring how relationships among form, color, space, transparency, and brushwork shape perception and convey force.
My Japanese heritage informs my sensitivity to reduction, ambiguity, withholding, and negative space.
