I am a self-taught artist who believes that the creative process can be a doorway to understanding oneself and the world. Everything that I create, whether it be a drawing, a painting, a poem, or a zine, I do it with a desire to know what's beneath the surface of my conscious awareness. I create in order to challenge my assumptions. I create to discover new things about myself. I create to know how I feel. I create in order to share parts of myself with others. I create to inspire change. I create in order to heal myself, others, and the world. I work with a range of modalities, including drawing, painting, photography, book-making, zine-making, and writing (poetry, mostly). My style is playful and colorful and meaningful and inspired and direct and intense and focused.
