Shaeley's profile

Shaeley Simone Lincoln is a multidisciplinary artist from Baltimore, Maryland, whose work explores themes of culture, community, and materiality. Through sculpture, installation, and mixed media, she transforms personal and collective experiences with classism, racism, and world history into communal spaces that foster dialogue and creative connection.
Shaeley graduated from George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology in 2022, where she distinguished herself through numerous artistic achievements. During her time there, she received multiple Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, including a Gold Medal in Art Portfolio, four additional regional gold medals, one regional silver medal, and three honorable mentions across sculpture, mixed media, drawing, and painting (2021-2022).She was also honored with the NAACP ACT-SO Regional Gold Medal in Sculpture (2021) and Silver Medal (2022). Her work was recognized by Black Girl Who Paint, earning the Girls Award (2021) and inclusion in their Lookbook, she was featured in both Culturally Renaissance Magazine and Middle Ground Magazine (2021). Finally, she went on to receive the Principal's Purchase Prize (2022).
She was accepted to several top art programs, including the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and Pratt Institute, ultimately choosing to attend Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), home to the nation's top-rated sculpture program. She pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Extended Media with a minor in Art History, graduating in Spring 2026 with a 3.5 GPA.
Her collegiate experience has been marked by a strong exhibition record and community engagement. Highlights include participation in Super! Giant! Jump! Star! performer, curated by George Ferrnadi at 1708 Gallery (2025); Black Fidelity Fashion Exhibitions (2023-2024);
