Meredith Moore is a filmmaker and video artist located in Baltimore, MD. She is most interested in working with analog or outdated digital technologies, challenging conventional genres and pushing traditional modes of filmmaking.
Her films have been shown at Athens International Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Seattle Transmedia & International Film Festival, Cucalorus Festival, and awarded a Jury Award for Best Experimental Short at Nonplussed Festival. Her videos have premiered on the front page of Tumblr, and featured on Pitchfork, Spin, Impose, NPR Music, Stereogum, Domino Records, and Paper Magazine.
In 2015 she created Secret Psychic Cinema, an experimental film series that hosts screenings and workshops. In 2017 the series received a Grit Fund Grant from The Contemporary in support of its third season. Meredith currently works as a Digital Curation & Audiovisual Archives Specialist at Decker Library at Maryland Institute College of Art, and teaches in the Film & Video Department. She is also on the Screening Committee of The Maryland Film Festival and is a member of the Baltimore Video Collective.
