Plagued by visions of low-poly animation, formative years in the Port Discovery Mystery House, East Asian grocery advertisements, and Googie design, Julia Cooke makes whatever the hell she wants and likes what she likes. She lives as a multimedia artist full time and has worked independently for three years as a painter, animator, and filmmaker. She is completely self-taught, taking little to no inspiration from media, giving her art a unique, authentic attribute. She founded and is a core member of the art collective Sideworld, and runs a DIY concert venue, where many of her paintings and animations are showcased.
