ARTIST STATEMENT:
 
In my work, I aspire to the kind of storytelling achieved in dreaming, where a resonant reality is built outside of physical and temporal logic. Each piece illustrates a single moment of conscious existence by layering symbolism, drawing from diverse, sometimes deliberately clashing cultural artifacts.

When successful, that single moment feels suspended, freed from its origins, silent and timeless.

BIO:

I am a designer and painter from Baltimore. After receiving my BFA in Illustration and Graphic Communications from WashU in St.Louis, I traveled widely, working as a design and illustrator in Chicago, Philadelphia, Madison, Italy and the Czech Republic, before settling back in Baltimore in 2001. Since then I have worked as a Creative Director in digital design, and a painter.
