Josh's profile

Josh Sinn is a Maryland-based photographer and educator who received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Working primarily with film, he enjoys documenting all aspects of life, especially focusing on people and their environments. Baltimore has become the central character in most of his work, with photos detailing his relationship with a city home to beauty, joy, and pain.

Sinn has had work published in publications such as Baltimore City Paper, Washington Post, Baltimore Magazine, The FADER, BmoreArt, and The Carroll County Times, among others. Additionally, he has presented works in various exhibitions including group shows such as Stop Motion DC's installation at Umbrella Art Fair, On Tender Ground at Current Space, and Random Similarities at Luann Carra Gallery. Sinn also presented twenty 16x20" silver gelatin prints in Sonder in Baltimore, a solo exhibition at Rocket to Venus which focused on his black and white street work.

Sinn plans to continue his photo work parallel to his career as a high school photography teacher, hoping to one day release a book of his work.
