Errol W. McKinson is a resilient and vibrant breakout award-winning artist. At an early age, Errol was fascinated by the works of art that surrounded him in his homeland Jamaica and later became extremely interested in Impressionism and Modern Art, the style and techniques of Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, and Pablo Picasso. These Masters influence Errol’s work today.

As a self-taught artist and a recipient of numerous awards, McKinson brings a kaleidoscope of distinctive colors and thoughtful brushstrokes that evoke a range of feelings – compassion and anger, sorrow and laughter, despair and mobilization. Errol specializes in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. These media bring to life the warm majesty of his experiences from growing up in Jamaica and incorporate awe-inspiring visions of the beauty that surround him in America and his travels to other countries.

For over a decade, Errol has been recognized in art shows and through online galleries. In his pieces, you’ll see the reflection of the greatest Impressionists and Cubists, he is currently exploring a variety of methods seeking to Uncover the hidden secrets of Modern Art and Cubism. Errol’s most recent work Modern Art Meets Cubism has focused on giving a voice to the voiceless. From that perspective, the latest series – Activism Meets Justice, Reflections of the Holocaust, At the Asylum, Coal Miners, and Cuban Experience – feature the characters and lifestyles of marginalized and overlooked people in society. Although their voices were muted, the array of colors they bring to the canvas are not.
