Cheryl’s photographic portrait work, once described as “colorful photo-secessionist” has been shown in galleries, and widely published in both mainstream and alternative newspapers, magazines and books for over 30 years. Her interest in myth and mysticism influenced her creation of the photography based Magical Realism Tarot deck, which was published in 2015.

Short experimental films and music videos directed by Cheryl have appeared in a variety of venues, film festivals and on broadcast television. Her films have also appeared in art exhibitions, including Baltimore, MD’s Artscape. Her 2020 music video of Dreamchild’s “Alone” won the Saturday Visiter Award, which was vetted by Poe Baltimore, and the Poe Museum in Richmond, VA.

In January 2020 Cheryl’s first book, an American history biography titled “Joe Quigley, Alaska Pioneer” was released by McFarland publishing. The book has received excellent reviews from various publications, including the Midwest Book Review, Alaska History, and MENSA Bulletin.
