Baker Artist Portfolios

Bridget Parlato is an interdisciplinary artist based in urban southeast Baltimore, MD. Her graphic design career spans decades alongside her studio practice which includes a variety of mediums: metalsmithing, art jewelry, found object sculpture, drawing, illustration, writing and digital graphics. 

Her work is largely conceptual, often focusing on environmental, societal and political issues,  material over-consumption, grief and loss. 

She is also the previous head of  citizen-run anti-trash initiative, Baltimore Trash Talk and the author/illustrator of the children's book, "Plastic Land", a rhyming tale about plastic pollution.
