Baker Artist Portfolios

I made my first sculpture when I was 13 by straightening a paper clip I found and bending it at random right angles, imagining a line moving along a 3-dimensional grid. This became a habitual exercise I would do to keep my hands busy when I was bored, and would turn into the foundation of my sculptural practice. I was born on the east coast, lived in California for almost 20 years where I received a BFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and I currently live and work in Baltimore, MD where I received my MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
