Anna's profile
Anna Child (b. South Carolina) is an artist based in Baltimore, MD. Doubt, not knowing, and being lost are essential elements of her abstract painting process. She studied painting at the New York Studio School and Maryland Institute College of Art and was a Penland School of Crafts Core Fellow. A multiple Maryland State Arts Council grant recipient, she has recently been an artist in residence at Woodstock Byrdcliffe, the Vermont Studio Center, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Chalk Hill. PS Marlowe (Phil Sanders, Asheville, NC) will publish a suite of her monotypes in 2025.
