Lenee's profile

Leneé grew up and lived in Baltimore City. She starting taking photographs at the age of 9 using the family's film cameras until she received her first 110 mm film camera as a gift from her uncle. She continued to explore with photography on her own and in college before transitioning to digital in 2005.
During her exploring stages she began to create collages of her friends and family along with fashion trends using photographs she took and magazine or sales ad clippings.  Leneé had received her a B.A. in Visual Communication Design from Stevenson University in 2011. But her time spent at Morgan State University and Baltimore City Community College has helped develop her use of materials and subject matters.

Capturing the unseen moments or details through light and color are the things that's important to Leneé .  Layering different textures and images are just part of the experience and conversations Leneé has with her work. Each piece she creates are parts of love letters, inspiration, and questions Leneé writes to herself and shares with the world.
