Jereme's profile
Jereme Scott is a Mixed Media artist from Columbia, Maryland that creates oil paintings, miniature sculptures and original screenprints. He graduated from Howard University with an MFA in Studio Art in 2011, and has been a Resident Artist at the Howard County Arts Council since 2009. His artwork is thoughtful, contemporary, well crafted and at times dramatic, with much of his work focusing on the use of everyday symbols arranged to create subtle narratives. By using bits of humor, strong social commentary, and accute lighting, his artworks tend to challenge viewers sensibilities as well as hold their attention. Jereme currently is the Adult Art Curriculum Specialist for the Howard County Library System and teaches several Foundation courses at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD
