Laurel's profile

Laurel Levia is a Baltimore born and raised multi-disciplinary musician, filmmaker, writer, community organizer and curator. Laurel’s creative journey began at an early age as she struck an interest in design, music, and writing literary works of poetry, screenplays and novels. She always had an eye for detail, leadership qualities, and selective taste that would lead her towards inspiration to create. Including the influence of her grandfather who was a self-made architect and her mothers former employment at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, all of these pieces led her to such great curiosity particularly in music, sound design, film and storytelling.

Through a decade of working and living within creative communities, Laurel began facilitating music, fashion and arts events for local artists and talent in Baltimore and beyond. Her focus has always been within curating pleasurable and expansive multidisciplinary experiences. This is done by sharing space with people to free themselves creatively and inspire connections with each other to build and collaborate. Laurel Levia uses her practice, knowledge and call to action to bring people together, honor individuality, and showcase varied talent in a nonlinear curation model.
