Jasmine's profile

Jasmine Adams, a Montgomery County-based artist (b. 1993 in Silver Spring,
MD), has built a distinguished career as a painter, photographer, and digital
artist. Her work explores the complexities of identity, particularly within the
Black American experience, drawing from her imagination and everyday
surroundings. A graduate of Morgan State University with a B.A. in Fine Arts,
Adams has exhibited at venues including the James E. Lewis Museum of Art
(2021), Truro Center for the Arts (2022), and Gallery CA (2024).

In 2024, Adams was selected for the Montgomery County Artist Residency,
an initiative fostering creativity and public engagement through site-specific
art projects. She also participated in a studio residency at Otis Street Art
Project, which provided a collaborative space to further develop her practice.
Through her evocative portraiture, Adams amplifies cultural narratives and
celebrates Black heritage, establishing herself as a vital voice in the
contemporary art scene.
