Kailah's profile
Kailah Foreman (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator from Baltimore, MD. Using a variety of media, including oil paint, paper/found object collage, printmaking, and drawing media to create art that channels her memories and experiences growing up in East Baltimore.
Kailah has had the opportunity to exhibit her art nationally in galleries and museums including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Walters Art Museum (Baltimore, MD), Artscape (Baltimore, MD), MICA (Baltimore, MD), Love Groove Arts Festival (Baltimore, MD), Alternate Roots Salon (Atlanta, GA), and Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.
She has received many awards including the Krongard Award, Harry T. Pratt Trailblazer Award, Fred Lazarus Artscape Prize, Greater Baltimore Achievement Award, Maryland ArtStar Prize, and Creative Vision Award.
Kailah has been featured in publications including BmoreArt magazine, Black Artist Research Space, The Baltimore Times, and Baltimore Magazine.
Kailah currently is a full-time arts educator, spreading the impact of art to Baltimore youth while practicing her personal art making.
