Carlos Gregorio Gonzalez II (Gabriel) is a National Pageant Titleholder, acclaimed Dancer, Choreographer, Dance Educator, Competitive Coach, and the Owner, Founder, and Executive Director of DMV’s Finest, a company that provides elite backup dancers for pageant competitors and artists nationwide. A member of the International Dance Council (CID) since 2013, he has built a reputation for elevating dancers and performers of all ages, attracting students from across Maryland and beyond who seek his expertise in dance, pageantry, and competitive performance.

A graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts, Gonzalez continued his training at The Joffrey Ballet and Broadway Dance Center, grounding his artistry in world‑class technique. With more than 28 years of teaching experience across Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, and Virginia—and over 10 years directing community dance programs—he has become a transformative force in the performing arts community.

Gonzalez’s achievements include NAACP ACT‑SO honors, multiple Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt first‑place titles, a prestigious scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School and winning a national title of Mr. USA Unlimited Newcomer 2024. His choreography has earned national recognition, and his work has been featured in Afro Magazine, The Catholic Review, and Johns Hopkins Magazine. Beyond accolades, his creative leadership has shaped dancers, models, and competitors who have gone on to succeed at national levels.

As a respected judge in dance, pageantry, and modeling, Gonzalez has evaluated competitions across the country, including Baltimore’s ArtScape, the Mr. and Miss Gay United States National Pageant, and the Mr. and Miss Royalty National Pageant. His influence extends far beyond the studio—he mentors performers, cultivates confidence, and opens pathways for young artists to pursue their dreams.

His performance career spans an impressive list of companies and venues, including the Baltimore Opera Company, Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Kimberly Mackin Dance Company, Poetic Xpressions, Harford Ballet Company, Soul Theatre Productions, Dance & Bmore, Memorable Structure, LaGuardia School for the Arts, Alvin Ailey Black Box Theater, Court Square Theater, the Hippodrome Theater, The Baltimore Lyric, The Rose Room, The Robinson Center, Turner Hall Ballroom, Club Krave, and Keens Dance Theater in New York City. He has trained with institutions such as Peabody and Experimental Movement Concepts and has taught or performed with numerous regional schools and companies.

Gonzalez’s commitment to service began early. As a child, he was active in theater, choir, and church leadership, later becoming Dance Director at St. Bernardine’s Roman Catholic Church after serving as Altar Server Coordinator. His lifelong dedication to uplifting communities through the arts continues to guide his work today.

Driven by a passion for education, leadership, and community impact, Gonzalez aspires to earn a Doctoral Degree in Dance and a Master’s Degree in Hospitality. His goal is to expand his ability to serve, educate, and inspire—creating accessible, high‑quality arts programs that empower future generations.
