Katie Callahan is a singer, songwriter, artist, and mother who grew up in Hawaii and currently lives and works in Baltimore. Her music is rooted in folk and Americana traditions with a focus on lyrical storytelling. Collaborative songwriting and music production is a crucial part of her process, as is creating a world around each project: visual art, tangible arts, and a vernal narrative to accompany every world she builds. After years as a worship leader, she left the church and now makes work about rejoining the body, mind, and spirit and is constantly learning and exploring what it is to be a woman getting older.
